Check Your Login Details
Make sure you are using your MT4/MT5 trading account credentials, not your Client Portal login details.
Check the following:
- Trading account number: Confirm that you have entered the correct account number.
- Trading account password: Make sure you are using the password for your trading account. It is different from your Client Portal password.
- Password accuracy: Check for typing errors, including uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Extra spaces: If you copy and paste your login details, make sure there are no spaces before or after the information.
- Similar characters: Check for characters that may look alike, such as the letter O and the number 0.
Verify Your Trading Server and Connection
Check Your Trading Server
Your MT4/MT5 trading account must connect to the correct server.
- Log in to your Client Portal.
- Navigate to the Accounts page.
- Locate your trading account and check the assigned server.
- Open MT4 or MT5 and make sure you select the corresponding server when logging in.
Selecting the wrong server may cause login errors even when your account number and password are correct.
Check Your Internet Connection
Make sure your device has a stable internet connection. If your connection is unstable, reconnect to the internet and try logging in again.
If your login details, server selection, and internet connection are correct but you still cannot log in, the trading server may be temporarily unavailable. Try again later or contact Customer Support if the issue persists.
Reset Your Trading Account Password
If you have forgotten your trading account password or believe it may be incorrect, reset your MT4/MT5 trading account password through the Client Portal or Moneta Markets AppTrader.
For detailed instructions, refer to How can I reset or change my trading account password?
Make sure you reset the password for the affected trading account, not your Client Portal or AppTrader login password.
