If your actual Introducing Broker (IB) commission payout differs from your personal calculation, several factors could explain the discrepancy. The most common reasons include:
1. Only Closed Trades Count
- Commissions are calculated only on closed trades. If your estimate included open positions or pending trades, these will not be included in the payout.
2. Trade Eligibility Criteria Not Met
Some trades may be excluded from commission calculations due to one or more of the following reasons:
The trade was placed on a product that does not offer rebates under your IB plan.
The trade was executed under the Trading on Credit (TOC) program.
Ultra ECN accounts, where applicable, do not receive rebates.
Note: Ultra ECN accounts generally provide clients with lower trading costs and are excluded from the rebate program.
3. Currency Differences
If your trading account and IB commission account use different currencies, the payout may be adjusted based on real-time exchange rates. This can result in small differences between your estimate and the actual payout.
