Swap fees reflect the interest for holding a position overnight. At Moneta Markets, certain instruments are subject to a triple swap on specific days to account for weekends and settlement periods:
- Wednesdays: The triple swap covers positions held over the weekend, since Forex markets are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
- Fridays: Some swaps are adjusted to reflect the weekly rollover for futures or other instruments with weekend settlement.
This means the swap charged on these days is three times the usual daily rate. The triple swap ensures that overnight financing accurately reflects the interest for all days the position will be held.
