Orders can only be placed when the underlying market for an instrument is open and actively trading. When a market is closed—such as during weekends, holidays, or scheduled trading breaks—prices are not updating, so new orders cannot be executed.

 

Once the market reopens, pricing resumes and you’ll be able to place and manage orders as normal. You can always check the trading hours for each instrument directly on your trading platform or in the Product Specifications.
