To complete account verification, your Proof of Identity (POI) must be a valid government-issued photo ID that meets Moneta Markets' verification requirements. If your document does not meet these requirements, it may be rejected. If a POI submission is rejected, you will receive an email explaining the reason for the rejection.
Common Reasons for Rejection
Your Proof of Identity may be rejected if:
- The document is expired or not issued by a recognised government authority.
- The document is not in colour or important information cannot be clearly read.
- The document is handwritten.
- The image is blurry, cropped, incomplete, or low resolution.
- The document has been altered, edited, or does not meet the required format.
- Important information such as your full name or date of birth is missing or unclear.
Proof of Identity Requirements
Your Proof of Identity must:
- Be a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.
- Clearly show your full name and date of birth.
- Be clear, legible, and in colour.
- Be submitted as an original photo or original document file.
- Not be a scan, photocopy, screenshot, or edited image.
Accepted Proof of Identity documents include:
- International passport
- Driver's licence
- National ID card
- Proof of age card
For driver’s licences and ID cards, please provide clear images of both the front and back where applicable.
What Should I Do?
If your Proof of Identity has been rejected:
- Review the rejection email sent to your registered email address.
- Identify the reason your document was rejected.
- Obtain a document that meets the verification requirements above.
Upload a new document through the Client Portal for review.
